SERVICE USED
- To keep your costs down we send most orders weighing less than 1kg by Royal Mail 2nd class.
- Packages over 1.0kg and under 1.25kg go first class.
- Heavier packages go Courierfor England, Wales and Southern Scotland provided the value and weight permit it.
- Parcels over 1.25kg for Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland will normally be sent by Parcel Force Standardprovided the value and weight permit it.
- We always check with you if there is any extra "Carriage" cost.
DELIVERY
- 2nd class - The Royal Mail aims to deliver by the 3rd working day.
- 1st class - The Royal Mail aims to deliver by the next working day.
- Special Delivery Next Day - The Royal Mail guarantees to deliver by the next working day by 1pm or your money back, (guarantee not applicable to Highlands, Islands and Norther Ireland).

Delayed Delivery:Royal mail does not allow claims to be made until 15 days after the expected delivery date. We use a licensed and upto date Royal Mail postal address file for addressing it is therefore unlikely that mail is wrongly addressed unless we have used a flat number as the street number! Our mail is collected and "signed for" daily by Royal Mail. You should check with the local sorting office if the item is delayed more than 7 days from the date on our proof of posting. They just might have it.
Overseas/Non UK Post and Packing Charges

The table below applies to Fabric, Thread, Kit and Chart ordersbasically. We reserve the right to ask for additional postage for heavier items such as Lamps, Frames etc and for low cost relative to weight items such as Canvas.
Naturally in such circumstances we will contact you, to tell you how much if any extra payment will be and give you the chance to abandon the order.

Continental Europe - Orders weighing more than 2Kg
We have Road Courier arrangements which can be economic for larger parcels. These take 3-7 days depending on the Nation. The charge selected and shown is used (Any calculated charge according to value is ignored.) Click here for European Courier options.
World Zone orders Insurance
For certain nations the loss rate is so high that we have to say that we will only post items at the customers risk, as we cannot get insurance. Examples are Central America, Africa and Russia however there are more and, please ask if you are not sure of the service to your nation.
World Zone orders weighing more than 2Kg (5 lbs)
For these the postage will be higher. - we will contact you, if necessary, to tell you what extra payment will be or give you the chance to abandon the order. Table below shows the normal minimum postal charge

Expected DeliveryThe best general information we have is between 5 and 20 days
Delayed DeliveryRoyal mail does not allow airmail claims to be made until 25 days after the expected delivery date.
PaymentOverseas orders are paid by credit/debit card only.
VAT is deducted on orders from:
- World Zone
- Non EU Europe(see lists below).
This reduces the cost and helps pay the postage. As a guide, multiply the goods value by 0.85 and then look up the post and packing charge according to the new reduced value and add them together.
Normal Tourist Exchange ratesused by your card processor apply, these are normally good.
Channel Islands Post and Packing Charges

These are Non-EU therefore deductVAT; but charge UK Postal Rates plus £0.05 per £1.00 of goods on orders over £19.99.
However we will phone you about heavy items not covered by the normal calculation. The costs are shown below:
