Welcome to the Land of Sweets, the most deliciously colourful corner of the Nutcracker story. Open this little tin to find a row of sugar-pink palaces with candy-striped domes, strings of bunting, peppermint swirls, wrapped sweets and candy canes, all above a rosy pink carpet fit for a ballerina.

The Sugar Plum Fairy is a double-sided stitched figure, 7.5cm (3in) tall, in a frothy pink tutu and ballet shoes. Stand her in front of the open tin and she's ready to dance; close the lid and she rests safely inside until the music starts again.

The design is worked in cross stitch, backstitch and French knots, with touches of DMC Light Effects for extra sparkle. Pair her with Clara's Ballroom for a little Nutcracker suite of your own.
